DAILY CALENDAR BBS - 619-435-0036 (2400-14.4K V.32bis) in Coronado,
California is the home of DCFORMAT and other fine shareware products.
It is a no fee/no ratio BBS. Give us a call!
DCFORMAT formats floppy disks in A: or B: from a menu of all available
disk size and type options for your computer. It has been tested on a
variety of 286/386/486 and laptop machines but is not guaranteed to
work with every computer known to humanity.
DCFORMAT automatically detects what type of floppy drive(s) you have and
presents a menu of format options. Floppy drives A: and B: and disk
sizes of 360K, 1.2M, 720K and 1.4M are supported.
To run the program, just type DCFORMAT <enter>. You will then have a
menu of format options. Select one and press <enter> to begin. You
will note that DCFORMAT starts at the high track number and formats the
FAT and file directory area last.
DCFORMAT was written to simplify formatting disks. It will only format
data disks. If you want bootable disks, use the SYS command from DOS.
Formatting is through direct calls, not through DOS. The routines come
from Computer Associates Clipper Tools 3.0.
